we set a milestone by creating something
India has never witnessed ─
Storm: India’s most authentic
Camp-out Music Festival.
Like all great ideas, Storm Festival was born
out of altruism: a platform where
electronic artists and live bands would come together and spread joy through music.
Incepted in the year 2000, it took a long time for the idea to evolve. The younger brother had to convince the elder one; the elder one added two new dimensions that gave India a first-of-its-kind festival ─ with a Destination, hand-picked variety of Music and a Camp-out format.
For an idea that brings together wanderlust, EDM, live bands, nature, and camping out, we had to find a place where nature merges with music ─ ethereally. We found those 22-acres of heaven in Napoklu, Coorg; the venue which is now known to all as Stormfields.
The team behind Storm was clear on 3 aspects, absolutely integral to the festival -
• Music will be the only high permitted in the festival
• Utmost respect for the environment
• Stormers would stay at Stormfields.
The idea caught up like wild fire; the brotherhood of music accepted the concept immediately. Even before the artist line-up was announced, Storm was loved by happy Stormers all across the globe.
Storm 2012: 12 Bands, 16 Indian DJs and 5 International names ignited the spirits of 2500 plus Stormers at Stormfields; marking a grand debut of India’s most authentic Destination Camp-out Music Festival.
